Ellyn Heald

Bio

Ellyn Elizabeth Heald was born in Waco, Texas on September 26, 1989. Lovingly referred to as a 'whimsy' by her grandfather, Ellyn grew up loving music, ballet, acting and singing. Her family moved to Phoenix in 1997 and Ellyn almost immediately began to show a deeper interest in the arts throughout her education. Cast as Ophelia in a summer production of Hamlet in Wimberley, Texas, Ellyn's interest in Shakespeare was launched at the age of 14.  Ellyn was involved in numerous theatrical productions in high school as well as professional and community productions all around the valley. Some of her favorite roles have included Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Ophelia in Hamlet, and Elizabeth Bennett in Pride and Prejudice which earned her an AriZoni nomination. Also a talented musician and writer, Ellyn has written numerous songs on both piano and guitar, several short stories and is currently working on a full-length original musical based on an internationally popular coffee shop. Ellyn intends to continue pursuing her career in the arts, whether it takes her to New York, London, Hollywood, or anywhere in between.
